DUPE ALERT!!! (Charlotte Tilbury Edition)

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

As a Makeup Artist, I am constantly trying new products or replenishing products I have used up over time. This is a fun but also expensive part of my job! With that being said, I feel like I have reached a place where I have learned that there are certain products you should save money or splurge with!

My current makeup aesthetic I am into at the moment would definitely have to be the more "soft glam" makeup looks. I like to describe this as more of a "your skin but better" type of style but with a little bit more glam eyeshadow than your everyday makeup look. A makeup company that I feel really embodies this more "soft glam" style would have to be Charlotte Tilbury. I would be lying if I said I wasn't obsessed with basically all of her products. (Charlotte, if you're needing a brand ambassador HIT ME UP! haha) I also feel like this brand has become pretty trendy lately with lots of TikTok influencers selling out many of her products.

Here are a few dupes for some of my absolute FAVORITE Charlotte Tilbury makeup products!

The Infamous "Pillow Talk" Lipstick

The entire "Pillow Talk" line is probably one of Charlotte Tilbury's most successful product lines in her company BUT definitely the lipstick is the star of the show. From launching the original first "Pillow Talk" shade, she has since came out with two more shades that seem to be catered to more deeper skin tones as well as an entire "Pillow Talk" line that includes eyeshadows and more lip product options! I would describe the original "Pillow Talk" lipstick to overall be a nudey pink shade that gives the lips a pop of color while still remaining to look natural. It has pretty much become an iconic staple in most makeup artist kits. I can personally say that I have clients ask for this lipstick from time to time which is why I always try to keep it in my kit. With that being said though, not everyone wants to spend $34 on a lipstick and that is UNDERSTANDABLE! If I am being completely honest, if it wasn't for my job being centered around makeup I wouldn't be able to justify paying that amount for a lip product!

THE DUPE - Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lipstick in "Spiced Petal"

I have loved Flower Beauty's lipsticks for a while now. I have even heard some people refer to it having a similar formula to Tom Ford lipstick products. For a drug store lipstick, it really does have an amazing color pay off and is long lasting. When I swatched both of the lipsticks side by side. They really look incredibly similar with just the slightest difference in color. I think "Pillow Talk" might be a little bit of a peachier undertone and "Spiced Petal" is more pinkish. I think both are super pretty and flattering to a lot of different skin tones!

Do I Think This Dupe Is Worth It???

Overall, I think it is. It is a close enough color match that you can get away with using the Flower Beauty lipstick and no one would ever know the different between the two. As I mentioned earlier, this drug store product really is high quality! I recommend trying out Flower Beauty's lip products! You won't be disappointed!

The SOLD OUT Beauty Light Wand in "Peachgasm"

Over this past summer, there was a HUGE blow up on social media over this particular blush. I know in the summer people tend to want more of a "natural/glowy sun kissed look" and this product definitely delivers just that. Even I fell into the mass majority and became curious about this product. I just wanted to know what all of the hype was about! After months, the product FINALLY restocked on Charlotte's website and I snagged it! Here are my thoughts: This product is definitely a light coverage and more natural looking finish. It is SUPER creamy and easy to use. I know some liquid blushes can be quick drying or overly pigmented where you have to be careful or you will end up with clown cheeks! That is not the case at all with this product. For the summer, I absolutely love it. It gives just enough color and to the skin without being too much! If you are willing to drop $38.00 on a blush.. I say try it out!

THE DUPE - Wet & Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush in "Peach Bums"

Wet & Wild is a brand that has been around FOREVER and is known for their affordable prices. I feel like in the past 5ish years, this company has really been making a come back with a lot of great quality products at affordable prices. I am not sure if this specific shade has been around a long time but I do know that their Mega Glow Concealer Makeup Sticks have been on the market for a hot minute. I have added a side by side comparison of the two different blushes and you can really just how similar both products are! Charlotte's blush is definitely a more creamy consistency but honestly, the undertone and finish is so similar it shocked me. You can even see in the picture how both have a bit of a shimmery finish on the skin to give a glowy look.

Do I Think This Dupe Is Worth It???

YES. I was extremely impressed with how close the color and finish was of these two products. Plus, you just can't beat the price difference between the two products!! It is a STEAL! 10/10 recommend checking this out if you want an inexpensive dupe!

The Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder

I cannot lie, this is a MUST HAVE product in my makeup kit. On the website, it claims to be a "complexion enhancing powder" and that is exactly what it does! I love to use it at the end of any makeup applications because it really does give a beautiful veil to the skin. This product also only comes in like 4 different shade options but it blows my mind at how universally flattering the 4 shades can be. This truly is a staple product for me that I always recommend to people!

THE DUPE - No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Translucent Finishing Powder

I honestly have not tried many of this brands products. I have friends who say it is very high quality and I decided to try this powder out! Overall, it is a great drugstore product. I think that it is a little heavy to set the entire face with but if you are just wanting something to brighten under your eyes and give a nice finish to the skin this could be the perfect product for you!

Do I Think This Dupe Is Worth It???

Nope. You just can't beat Charlotte's finishing powder formula. It REALLY does transform the final touches of any makeup look I do. It is my go-to product that I recommend to everyone! As I mentioned earlier, it is a STAPLE in my professional makeup kit that I use basically every time I do a client's makeup!
